Well, the day has finally come! There was a flurry of activity with chores around the house for the last couple days, and I got all packed up this morning and ready to leave.
I said my good-byes at the airport just before going through security and I was off. Or so I thought!
It turned out that my first flight was delayed by 2 hours. Since I only had a 1.5 hour lay-over before the flight over the pond this would obviously NOT work. I got my bags back and will try again tomorrow.
This is just more proof of the old saying "Man plans and G-d laughs".
My wife is sure this was Hashem's way of giving me time to do more chores. Perhaps she is right. Who am I to second-guess Hashem?
